Self Description

Research and project activities in the field of logistics for more than 30 years, extensive project and practical experience - responsible for over 150 national and international research and consulting projects for industrial and service companies. Experienced in the field of applied research at the Fraunhofer Society for over 10 years, managing director of the FORVERTS research association and for 15 years director of the IAL at the University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt (the university's first research institute) and 16 years as a professor at the University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt, sustainability officer of the university.

1999 - 2004: PhD Dr. rer pol at the Chair of Logistics Prof. Peter Klaus / D.B.A. Boston Univ.

1994 - 1998: Managing Director of the Research Association for Traffic and Transport Systems (FORVERTS), Munich / Nuremberg

1995 - 1999: Head of Transport Logistics at the Fraunhofer Application Center for Transport Logistics and Communication Technology (AVK), Nuremberg

1999 - 2004: Head of Department Processes, Logistics and Transport at the Fraunhofer Institute on Technologies of the Logistics Service Industry (ATL), Nuremberg

Since 2005: Professor for logistics and supply chain management at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Scheinfurt, Würzburg

Since 2006: Managing director of the Institute for Applied Logistics (IAL) Würzburg / Schweinfurt (project topics urban and rural logistics, mobility management, transport and supply management, innovative services of general interests in rural areas)

Since 2016: Head of the University's ProcessLab

Since 2017: Co-Coordinator of the international competence group of Rural Supply Chain Management

Since 2020: Sustainability officer at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt
